Lectures

Astronomy

The lecture is for all students of physics of the 3rd year. I present basic ideas about astronomy and a lot of information about our Solar System, the Kuiper belt, the Oort cloud, exoplanets, stars, nebulas, eclipsing variable and pulsating stars. I discuss evolution of stars and present white dwarfs, neutron stars and black holes. I describe our Milky Way and another galaxies (including Active Galactic Nuclei). I discuss Big Bang theory, structure of the universe and hypothetical models of its end.

Astrophysics & Cosmology

For students of the 4th year, especially for those who specialize in theoretical physics. In this lecture I focus on the theory of accretion discs. I show the accretion phenomenon in X-ray binaries, Ultra Luminous X-rays, Active Galactic Nuclei, Gamma-Ray Bursts. In the cosmology part of this lecture I discuss e.g. the Big Bang theory (more detailed), the Robertson–Walker metric, the cosmic scale factor, the Hubble constant, redshifts, barionic and dark matter, dark energy, evolution of the universe.

Astronomy & Astrophysics

The lecture for teachers in primary and secondary schools.
