The School is dedicated to Electron and Spin Correlations in Solids.

The essential goal of the School is to give an opportunity to young scientists (undergraduate and PhD students) to learn about important problems in condensed matter physics on a highly tutorial level, often starting from very basic ideas. The second important goal is to offer a place for scientists from East and West to meet one another.

Permanent poster session will be arranged with a goal to allow for presentation of the achievements of PhD students.

International Schools of Condensed Matter Physics till 1998 were traditionally held in Bialowieza, Poland. Since 1998 the Schools are organized in another lovely place, Suprasl, 15 km North-East from Bialystok. The small town Suprasl lies in the woods called Puszcza Knyszynska. Click here for the maps. The accommodation in PUSZCZA hotel consists of double or triple-bed rooms. All rooms are equipped with a shower. Local bus provide frequent service from Suprasl to Bialystok, a town of 300 thousands habitants.

There is approximately days to the beginning of the School. By clicking here: Provisional Programme you will find list of lectures and the preliminary "time-table" of the School. The latter may change if special requirements from our lecturers appear. The main idea in constructing the program was to offer as much time for free discussions as possible. Such discussions are always needed for better perception of the lectures which will take place before lunch and around the dinner-time.

You might remember that organizers decided to allow young scientist to present theirs achievements during permanent poster session. The present information about the authors and titles of posters to be presented are listed on this Website on the page PROGRAMME. The poster dimensions shouldn't exceed [1.5m x 1.5m]. However if you need more space, let us know about it as quickly as possible and we shall do our best to satisfy your needs.
